落到实际体验上，这意味着电子纸现在可以只更新变化区域、而不必闪烁整屏；相反，百叶窗、涟漪或渐变等分层过渡效果只出现在内容变化的区域，屏幕其余部分保持静止。这种聚焦式效果能把观者注意力直接引向变化处，在零售与数字标牌场景下显著提升参与度与停留时长，同时保留电子纸独有的宁静、纸感可读性。
该技术于今日在深圳第四届 ePaper 产业创新大会上，斩获 2025–2026 年度 ePaper 创意创新「先锋（Pioneering）」奖——这是显示行业最受瞩目的创新荣誉之一。不过 Geniatech 似乎并不打算把这项电子纸技术授权给其他品牌，而是用于自家的一系列数字标牌、电子海报、公交站牌与电子纸显示屏。其多数产品采用更适配数字标牌的 E Ink Spectra 6 彩色电子纸。

Geniatech has achieved a significant breakthrough in interactive color e-paper by enabling dynamic transition effects during partial refreshes — a capability previously absent in commercial e-paper displays.
The Geniatech engineering team is redefining expectations for e-paper display performance. Leveraging an FPGA platform, they have developed a novel method that combines phase-shifted 8-bit grayscale template mapping with a 2D lookup table algorithm. This innovation allows for seamless integration of dynamic transition effects into the partial refresh process, creating an unprecedented fusion of localized updates and animated transitions in the e-paper domain.
In practical terms, this means e-paper devices can now update only the relevant portions of the screen without causing distracting full-screen flashes. Instead, layered transition effects such as blinds, ripples, or fades are confined to the regions where content changes occur, while the rest of the display remains static. This focused approach directs viewer attention to the specific area of change, enhancing engagement and dwell time in retail and digital signage applications, while maintaining the inherent tranquility and paper-like readability of e-paper.
This technology was recognized today at the 4th ePaper Industry Innovation Conference in Shenzhen, earning the 2025–2026 ePaper Creative Innovation “Pioneering” Award — one of the most prestigious accolades in the display industry. However, Geniatech has no plans to license this e-paper technology to other brands; instead, it will be utilized exclusively in their own line of digital signage, electronic posters, bus stop signs, and e-paper displays, primarily featuring the E Ink Spectra 6 color e-paper.
