很多人不知道，KOReader 实际上是个隐藏的「棋牌室」——几款社区插件，就能把你的 Kindle / Kobo 变成一台护眼的游戏机。今天一次性盘点4 款真正能装的棋牌类插件，附带下载地址和保姆级安装步骤。
一、先认识这 4 位「棋牌室」成员
♟️ Kochess ｜ 国际象棋（最强）
带 Stockfish 引擎，能跟 AI 下、能人机对战、能载入/保存 PGN 棋谱，还带棋钟和开局库。e-ink 专门优化，完全离线。
⬛ Checkers ｜ 西洋跳棋
经典 8×8 跳棋，纯 Lua 插件，无需额外引擎，装上即玩。

二、安装前准备
✅ 已安装 KOReader（越狱 Kindle 一般在 /mnt/us/koreader/；Kobo 在 /.adds/koreader/）
✅ 一台电脑 + USB 数据线
✅ 文件管理器（Kindle 用 KUAL / MRPI 进 KOReader 即可）
三、通用安装 3 步（所有插件都一样）
1️⃣ 下载：点文末链接，下载 .zip 并解压，得到 xxx.koplugin 文件夹。
2️⃣ 复制：用 USB 把xxx.koplugin文件夹总体拷到设备的koreader/plugins/目录下。

五、小贴士 & FAQ
💡 6 寸 KPW 下棋稍挤，但完全能玩；横屏更爽。
💡 存档：PGN / 进度多在插件目录内，重装 KOReader 前记得备份 plugins 文件夹。
💡 卸载：删掉对应 xxx.koplugin 文件夹，重启即可。
💡 下载的 zip 解压后内层是带 tag 的文件夹，需把其中的 xxx.koplugin 文件夹复制过去（保持文件夹名以 .koplugin 结尾）。

Installing Chess + Checkers + Solitaire + Backgammon on KOReader
An e-ink screen isn't just for reading books. Those precious minutes while waiting for a bus, commuting, or before bed — playing a game is far more enjoyable than scrolling through social media.
Many people don't realize that KOReader is actually a hidden "board game room" — a few community plugins can turn your Kindle / Kobo into an eye-friendly gaming console. Today, I'm going to introduce 4 board game plugins that are actually usable, along with download links and step-by-step installation instructions.
I. Meet the 4 Members of the "Board Game Room"
♟️ Kochess | Chess (Strongest) Equipped with the Stockfish engine, it can play against AI, support human-vs-human battles, load/save PGN files, and features a clock and an opening book. Optimized for e-ink and fully offline.
⬛ Checkers | Draughts Classic 8×8 checkers, a pure Lua plugin requiring no additional engine — install it and play immediately.
🃏 Solitaire | Solitaire Patience Klondike solitaire, with a satisfying card-flipping feel on the e-ink display.
🎲 Backgammon | Backgammon 4 game modes (Portes / Plakoto / Fevga / Tabula), compatible with human-vs-machine (easy/normal) and two-player modes.

II. Pre-installation Preparation
✅ KOReader already installed (typically in /mnt/us/koreader/ for jailbroken Kindles; in /.adds/koreader/ for Kobo) ✅ A computer + USB cable ✅ File manager (for Kindle, use KUAL / MRPI to access KOReader)
III. Universal Installation Steps (Valid for all plugins)
1️⃣ Download: Click the link at the end of the article, download the .zip file, and extract it to get the xxx.koplugin folder.
2️⃣ Copy: Use the USB cable to copy the entire xxx.koplugin folder into the koreader/plugins/ directory on your device.
3️⃣ Enable: Safely eject the device, restart KOReader, and you should see the game entry in the menu (usually under "Tools / More Tools").

If your Kindle doesn't have the corresponding architecture engine, you can still play human-vs-human and analyze game records, but you won't have AI sparring.

V. Tips & FAQ
💡 Playing on a 6-inch KPW is a bit tight, but still perfectly playable; landscape mode is better. 💡 Saving: PGN / Progress files are usually stored within the plugin's directory; remember to back up the plugins folder before reinstalling KOReader. 💡 Uninstalling: Simply delete the corresponding xxx.koplugin folder and restart. 💡 The downloaded zip files often contain an additional layer of folders; make sure to copy the internal xxx.koplugin folder (which ends with .koplugin) to the device.
