Batch writing (mail-merge style) is its most practical feature: create text cells in the software and bind them to spreadsheet cells, attach a spreadsheet and it automatically generates multiple personalised outputs — the author tested this on 10.8×23.4 cm envelopes with good results (occasional envelope wrinkling).
