Amazon is pushing out a new software update for the Kindle Colorsoft and Kindle Scribe Colorsoft. They have finally implemented a system-wide dark mode for these devices, which inverts the colors from black text on a grey background to white text on a dark background.
With system-wide Dark Mode for Kindle Colorsoft and Kindle Scribe Colorsoft, users can change the appearance of surfaces such as Home, Library, and Settings to create a visual experience that works best for them. You can even customize where and when you’re using Dark Mode; for example, using Dark Mode for Home, Library, and Settings, while keeping notebooks in Light Mode. This feature can be used by going to Quick Actions > Dark Mode.
There will also be a solid update for the Kindle Scribe. Smart Shapes in Notebooks allows you to add structured lines, arrows, circles, triangles, and rectangles directly from the toolbar, making it faster and easier to create clean, polished notes. And with hold-to-snap, draw freehand and automatically convert strokes into precise lines, circles, triangles, or rectangles, combining the flexibility of handwriting with the neatness of structured tools.
These features will roll out to readers worldwide on eligible Kindle devices in the coming weeks.
